Destiny's House of Wolves DLC has been quite an upgrade over the original game from Bungie. The new DLC – the newer one being the upcoming Taken King DLC – has effectively increased the maximum Light level

To prove that “The Taken King is more than DLC – it’s a game,” Bungie will be using their Weekly Updates going forward to share insight into how they’re updating Destiny this September, highlighting key features and content along the way.

First and foremost there are new story missions included in The Taken King as well as multiple side missions which reveal the story of the Guardian’s battle to defend the solar system against Oryx and his Taken army.

As reported by Kotaku, people have figured out the algorithm that makes these codes work and are now self-generating Red Bull codes without the need to trek over to a 7-Eleven. AT first glance, this seems harmless: a few less cans of Red Bull sold.

PlayStation and Xbox owners may be disappointed that there’s no “House of Wolves” Exotic to purchase this week, but the selection is surprisingly not bad, all things considered.

It was not always this way. Once, the game was planned to be much funnier, something that would doubtless have made it more fun, and therefore better. Speaking to IGN UK, Arrested Development and Mr. Show actor David Cross spilled the beans.

But there’s also the possibility that one console is going to get a smattering of new content besides that this fall. At last, Xbox One’s day will finally have come after a year’s worth of Sony Destiny exclusives jammed into the base game and two expansions.

Update: Bungie posted on Twitter that the problems with Iron Banner should be resolved. Players should now be receiving reputation and rewards from Iron Banner games at the conclusion of matches, as usual.

It's that wonderful time when Bungie's rotating selection of high-reward activities are rebooted (along with any raid progress made in the previous week), giving everyone a fresh chance at scoring some of the game's sweetest and rarest loot.

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg attributes this ongoing success to the strong cadence of carefully curated add-on content -- which is consciously different than that of Call of Duty -- that actively improves Destiny.

Destiny players have a chance to score a rare weapon in this week’s Iron Banner. Destiny developer Bungie has announced the return of the Iron Banner from 10:00am PT on Tuesday. Destiny power leveling will help you acquire rare weapons.

Since Bungie first announced the Taken King DLC for Destiny, most of the Internet has been just one step short of enraged. The thing making people most angry is the pricing for this new content as well as the way the company claimed to be rewarding longtime players, that didn’t look like all that great of a reward.
